December 13, 2012Dear Sir,Regarding The headline in today’s daily: “Independents think their time has come.” I arrived in Bermuda in the early 1950s and Bermuda at that time was governed by Independent politicians. That is not unusual for a place the size of Bermuda or the size of the population. Each Parish having two or three candidates standing for election. The voting public then voted for the person they wished to represent them.It seems over the years Party Politics has divided the people of Bermuda in many ways. Maybe the Independents’ time has really come?MONICA BERRYUK
