New Board must work together
January 12, 2013
Dear Sir,
Allow me to comment on ‘BIU hits out over appointments’.
The leader of the BIU is upset that he is not represented on the Permanent Arbitration Tribunal .Perhaps the way the previous administration appointed persons to boards was one of the myriad of reasons as to why people voted for change.
Allegations of cronyism, favouritism and nepotism were rife under the former government. Many seemed as if they only received board appointments because of their political affiliation.
Whether or not you are chosen to be on a board should be second fiddle to our long-term objectives.
Let’s hope that whoever is appointed to government boards, they will be able to work together, avoid confrontation and help Bermuda get back on track.
We certainly need it.
