February 20, 2013Dear Sir,Bermudians have been hurting Bermudians. The blame is on ourselves not the foreigners that are taking the jobs. The problems lies in companies hiring cheap labour to make a bigger profit. The solution: make blue collar jobs, pay scale at a set rate. All companies have to abide by the payment system or have a very large fine. So both Bermudians and foreigners know exactly what they are expected to get paid, therefore companies will no longer be hiring cheap labour. If you have good employees then you can reward them with a bonus at the end of the year. If the employee is not happy with their pay they can always work toward a better position that pays more. This also can work for the renting of houses. Rents cannot be higher than the rent control deems it should be. We are responsible for our own actions.PEMBROKE WSpanish Point
