March 10, 2013.Dear Sir,As a Bermudian fortunate enough to rejoin the ranks of the employed recently, I am delighted at the swift and decisive action now being taken by the OBA. However, I am not so certain the fixes run deep enough.Can someone tell me just how many expatriate workers are employed in our bloated civil service?As a qualified accountant I can testify that most of Government’s accountants and auditors are expatriates, while the Department of Management Services has always been filled by British and Canadian consultants. I thought the OBA was all about getting rid of overseas consultants — not employing them for themselves.PERPLEXEDHamilton
