Get the prisoners to scrub the graffiti

Dear Sir,
Here’s an idea. Why not have the day release prisoners scrub and repaint graffiti off of the walls everywhere, every time it appears. I’m sure some of them know exactly who is doing it, there is nothing like peer pressure to get them to stop. Also we could get the prisoners in the art programme to paint scenes in bus stops that depict that area. Scenes to be approved by Government first. Take a look at what West Pembroke school has done with theirs, they’ve done a beautiful job. I say make the prisoners part of the solution to our problems, so they can contribute to society and want to protect it too.
