Airport flags are an insult

July 5, 2013

Dear Sir,

I wish to comment on the neglect shown towards all three flags displayed at the entrance / exit of our International Airport. They all are fraying and this is despicable; an absolute insult to all Bermudians.

The impression one gets when viewing these three flags that are hoisted daily, words just cannot express … but, for some unbeknown reason they aren’t changed. Why aren’t there on hand new flags representing each country and Island to replace those that are inevitably going to be damaged due to winds or age?
