Teacher is a credit to her school

Dear Sir,It is very rare that we hear anything positive about our public school teachers but I would like to acknowledge the sacrifice and dedication Ms Michelle Laylor, one of the mathematics teachers at Clearwater Middle School, has shown to her students. Ms Laylor saw a need for M2 and M3 students who were gifted in mathematics to be given extra coaching so that they could be given the opportunity to sit the IGSCE exam early. Unpaid and on her own time, which included holidays, after school and on weekends, Ms Laylor’s hard work paid off. I am proud to say that my daughter Esmeralda received a ‘B’ in the exam, which means that although she was only 13 years old, she was performing at a high school senior level. Ms Laylor, thank you for everything that you have done in helping my child, and many other children, reach their fulI potential. You are proof that the public school system can work.Sincerely,Ami Zanders
