Dear Sir,My 45th trip to Bermuda was great! I could not resist the package of 7 nights at Surf Side with airfare included. Although Surf Side could use some sprucing up, I would go back in a heart beat for that price.Sitting next to Sir John Swan at the Sandys Rotary Club meeting was the high point of the vacation. Having only seen the Grand Atlantic from South Road, I was dumbfounded when I saw it from its beach. Who would build anything so close to cliffs that are in the process of eroding? And the buildings look like they were designed by Stalin. Despite what I have been reading in the Gazette, they look much worse and dangerous in person! I was very disappointed that snorkelling boats don’t go to the sea gardens like they used to.Snorkelling is one of the main reasons that I come in the summer.As usual, the people are great; the island is beautiful; the food is excellent; alcohol is expensive; and the airport personnel are always pleasant to us. And last night Dark ‘N Stormys were on the drink menu at a waterside restaurant near my home. One thing is for sure, they taste much better in Bermuda!!!RON LACYNew York
