Kudos to Mark Anderson

PTB Bus Operator Mark Anderson

December 1, 2013

Dear Sir,

I live in Ottawa, Canada, a few of my friends and I planned on a trip to Bermuda for our fall vacations, as it turned out my friends could not make the trip, but I decided I would go anyway! I stayed in St Georges, at The St Georges Club, I was very happy with the accommodations and the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed the history I learned by watching and participating in the history walk and re-enactments, although it seemed after 5pm St Georges became like a ghost town!

I decided to venture into Hamilton as I was told there was a bit more going on there! I took the bus and sat up front as I didn’t want to miss a thing! The bus driver was extremely friendly and gave every passenger a warm greeting, the ladies were all “Gorgeous” and all the men were “Colonel”, myself included!

The bus stopped at one particular stop in which the stop was practically right on the street! And a woman asked if the bus was going to her destination, the driver said that he did not go there but she should get on the bus and he would take her to a safer stop which had a shelter, and she could still catch her bus there, she got on and when he dropped her of at the bus shelter he made sure she knew which bus to take.

I found it strange that the lady didn’t even thank him for his kind heartedness, I then decided to acknowledge his gesture and we began to chat, when he realised that I was in Bermuda alone, I found myself on a bus sightseeing tour! This man named Mark Anderson described so much along the ride with so much passion and love of his land! He directed me to wonderful restaurants, and sent me on a ferry ride that I would have never thought would be so beautiful, at the same cost as the bus.

I have been home now for a couple of weeks and I cannot stop talking about my wonderful time in Bermuda and how this is such a wonderfully friendly place, but I must say my trip was wonderful due to the extra kindness bestowed upon me by the bus driver Mark Anderson, who’s heart is worn on his sleeve, giving kindness to everyone and anyone, I definitely will be back to this paradise and next time I’m bringing my friends, and I will be looking for Mr Anderson who gave me a whole lot of Bermuda sunshine. Sincerely,

S Hill
