Where’s the logic?

Dear Sir,
In a country that is craving more tourists, where is the logic in foregoing a coat of paint on Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, one of Bermuda’s iconic landmarks!? It gives a strong impression of a country in decline and out of cash.
As a steady visitor and part time resident since 1959, I do not like to see this in much loved Bermuda!
