Dear Sir,

I read in Saturday’s Royal Gazette of Joanne Macphee’s dismissal from her position at the Chamber of Commerce. Chris Furbert — Bermuda Industrial Union President — was sympathetic towards her. In light of which, I would like to encourage Mrs MacPhee, since she expressed to the BIU that she hoped something positive would birth out of this, and she looks forward to finding a way to make that happen. As such it gives me great pleasure to invite her to join the membership ranks of the BIU to have that opportunity to implement positive energy as the union and the Trade Union Congress as a whole body endeavours to seek out what is the best measures for all union members working in Bermuda … Welcome aboard Mrs Macphee.
