Cutting costs

March 4, 2014

Dear Sir,

On the news this evening, the Shadow Minister of Health, Zane DeSilva, stated that healthcare costs could be reduced if the doctors and dentists reduced their fees by 10 or 20 percent. If it had not been for his administration bringing in new legislation which caused the cost of administration of an office to increase, maybe costs could have been contained. Such costs have to be recovered somewhere along the line.

May I suggest to Mr DeSilva that building costs be reduced by 20 percent, and see whether his firm can continue to operate. I have just been notified that due to the increase in building costs my premium has been increased yet again and this appears to be on an annual basis. We have a surfeit of properties for sale and rent, so why such high prices?

Yours sincerely
