Real reasons behind the march

Dear Sir,

In response to Diana Williams’ letter. What’s not to get? Okay, maybe the march was a little bit dramatic, but those are people who’ve either lost a job or know they’re probably next on the list (some, as of March 2015, know the OBA wants to outsource their jobs). I doubt you’re going to give them a job so, they’re protesting about the things that the OBA lied to them about. The so-called 2,000 jobs available yet, 1,200 jobs have been eliminated so far. This is what you have to wake up to. The reality is, if more people lose jobs, crime will also rise because families will still have to be fed, bills will still need to be paid, clothes will still need to be worn and so on/so forth. Without any money to support that people will likely steal just to support that family.

The OBA can say what they want, until those 1,200 jobs return to those people they’re going to keep on protesting. It’s that simple.

If you were to lose your job you’ll probably join in (maybe you won’t ... all depends on you) but, you’ll be feeling exactly what they’re feeling (or somewhat worse). The OBA’s creating a crime rise by eliminating jobs and nobody, seems to notice. They honestly believe the OBA can’t do anything wrong (until they become a victim too).
