Protecting the turtles

Dear Sir,
With reference to a letter written by Going Deaf, I fully agree about boating and noise levels. I have always thought that the area east of Two Rock Passage should be deemed no wake. As it is now, one can speed through Hamilton Harbour all the way to just before The Dinghy Club. There are lots of turtles in this area as well as on the outskirts of all the islands that make up Paradise Lakes.
All boaters should be subjected to a basic test once they surpass the use of a 5hp. Water safety, and the use and knowledge of the rule on the water, is no different than our roads.
