Medical tourism may be a way to raise money

Dear Sir,

As our hospital is in need of money, I wonder if we could be forward thinking enough to consider medical tourism.

We have a great new facility and our medical tourists could be housed briefly in the empty wards of Cooper and Perry, and then go into hotels to convalesce.

The income would help to pay off our hospital debt, we could use our talented doctors here and, as we have far more doctors per population than many countries, it should not be a great hardship for our local population.

Another idea I had would be to sell White’s Island to some well-heeled buyer who would like the isolation of the island and yet be so close to Hamilton. I can see the ad now: “Private Island in Bermuda”.
