There are probably more, but I’ve noticed two road safety hazards on the Island.

One is by The Barn, where people often park literally on the road, despite it being a regular road for residents.

People tend to block up the road, making passing nearly impossible every Thursday and Saturday.

Another area is along St John’s Road by the junction to North Shore Road. People should not be allowed to park alongside the sidewalk.

I’m surprised that when police cars go through that way, nobody gets arrested for blocking the traffic. That’s a safety hazard but it seems nobody is concerned despite the near accidents — and few accidents — that have happened there.

Something needs to be done to correct these matters.
