Post Office report at odds with experience

Dear Sir,

I’ve read a glowing report regarding Crawl Post Office staff, particularly during the Christmas rush.

I have a question for the postmaster general, who also wrote a glowing statement regarding post office staff services during the holidays.

Would you please inform me how is it that I mailed a package to my relative last year — October, 13, 2015, to be exact — delivered to the Crawl Post Office — and it still hasn’t shown up. When I was told about this two months ago, I checked the US Postal Service, which gave me the relevant information for the Bermuda Post Office to check.

This information was given to my relative, who was told that it couldn’t actually be checked and the staff member never attempted to try. At the time of writing this in January 30, 2016, there is still no package.

I have a few questions:

— do the staff need educating on how to use the computer, and in particular how to use the tracking system? — is the post office programme outdated?

— has it ever crossed the post office’s mind to hire a computer tech person to keep the system updated?

I’m sure if you advertised for a student who was computer-savvy, you would be surprised how knowledgeable these ten- to 18-year-olds are.

I’m asking for someone to please find my relative’s package. It means more to us than it does to you.
