Important life lessons from Nannini

Fosco Nannini (Photograph supplied)

Dear Sir,It gives me great pleasure to announce the success of ll Classico Boss. With the book launch just over a week ago, we saw both family and friends gather in the essence of celebrating this epic achievement, giving people a sneak peek into the priceless gems and untold stories of how not only to run multiple successful businesses but most importantly to value the relationships built along the way.Having said that, we would like to extend an immense and heartfelt thank-you to everyone who attended the book launch or played an instrumental part in the co-ordination of the day. Without the attendance of those both near and far, family and friends, the vibrant atmosphere of the day would have not been captured. As we know, success comes in many different forms, so in celebrating our success we would like to thank the effective collaboration of Heather Wood and Scott Neil for the beautiful articles in The Royal Gazette, along with their loyal readers. Also, a special thank-you to Wilks Catering, the team at Nannini Häagen-Dazs, West End Development Corporation and, most importantly, the daily guidance from God, who has made all of this possible. Upon reflection, we would like to remind the local population that staying committed to developing healthy relationships is paramount, as not only does it give us the driving force to achieve our goals but also the force needed to impact the wider community as a whole. Connecting with people who have an incredible track record of running businesses and have weathered previous storms can only enhance your chance of doing the same. As they say, “each one teaches one”. However, what they did not say is that you have to be prepared to learn. Perhaps a question we can all ask ourselves. The setbacks are quite clear; therefore, it is time to revise our vision. If we want to change our personal lives and the position of the island, we must first share the same vision for change, work hard and stay the course in its entirety. There is a great paradox that says, “if things are always coming our way, we are going in the wrong direction”. Now is the time to correct our steps and move forward in the right direction — by looking at different perspectives and produce workable solutions in going forward. Thus, it is imperative that we learn from the veterans in any field and remember that no one knows it all. Let us work to build a sustainable community where, again, each one teaches one. We believe that all industries have to reset and design new models and strategies with confidence, and the hospitality sector is not exempt, as all industries are essential and connected in some way. We must not draw inaccurate conclusions on matters of business and economic growth. Keep in mind that the more you learn, the more you earn. I am delighted to reveal that Il Classico Boss is now officially sold out. We expect to have more books in stock for sale in the next few weeks. Thank you everyone for making this a success. I will take this opportunity to encourage other experienced persons in any genre of business on the island to tell their amazing stories. We all need each other to succeed. Stay well and stay connected in all the right ways. FOSCO F. NANNINIHamilton
