We want more ferries, not fewer
Dear Sir,
The transport minister says he wants to cut back on the Pink Ferry Route.
At present there are no ferries between noon and 4pm. It’s hard to cut back from those times!
We should be encouraging more people to use the ferry, but if it is not convenient for them, they will drive their cars instead.
Less traffic on the road means less pollution and the whole island benefits from cleaner air.
I have lost count of the number of unhappy and disappointed tourists I have spoken to.
The minister needs reminding that there are no buses on Harbour Road.
The whole world is encouraging people to use public transportation instead of private vehicles.
Shouldn’t Bermuda be doing the same?
Credit must go to the captain and crews on the Pink Route.
They are always friendly, helpful and on time.
