Cry me a river

Southlands National Park (File photograph by Jonathan Bell)

Dear Sir,

I would like to address all those environmental and conservationist groups who are making off about the proposed development at the Southlands property.

Where have these groups been while the property has been allowed to deteriorate for the past seven years? Buildings in disrepair; walkways overgrown.

If those groups really care about Bermuda and how it looks to the outside world, maybe they should take a drive from St David’s to Dockyard and identify all the derelict buildings and residential units.

Go to land registration, identify the owners, raise money to renovate those sites because obviously the Government has no intention of doing it.

This government has been in power eight years and has made no legitimate effort to restore these structures.
