What about the debt? David Burt’s pride at balancing the Budget is offset by the size of the national debt. (File photograph by Akil Simmons)
Dear Sir,
While the Premier promotes a revenue projection of $1.47 billion and lauds a balanced budget, I do not understand this claim when the national debt is about $3.5 billion.
Once this debt is down to $0 and we do not have an interest payment of $175 million annually, then we can start talking about getting a balanced budget.
Happy Christmas!
