OBA needs outspoken candidates

Ann Cartwright DeCouto, pictured during her time as environment minister

Dear Sir,

Once again I put pen to paper. All this fuss about absentee voters by the One Bermuda Alliance. Why didn’t they institute it when they were in power between 2012 and 2017?

Why did the OBA go from 14 seats to six in two elections? Because they were arrogant and didn’t listen to the people. The people spoke to them at the polling station.

Why have the OBA not apologised for Morgan’s Point and the airport costing the taxpayer hundreds of millions of dollars? Arrogance.

A government should never guarantee a project if the investors cannot finance the project on their own don’t break ground. The airport should have been financed by a government revenue bond.

Where are the young OBA candidates, new ideas, new energy? Why isn’t the OBA hierarchy recruiting them? Asleep at the wheel.

Wake up OBA, where is the new Harry Viera or Ann Cartwright DeCouto, outspoken and ruthless?
