City of Hamilton deserves praise

Improved: The newly restored Victoria Park railings. (Photograph by Akil Simmons)

Dear Sir,

I don't regularly read Letters to the Editor but on this occasion I did.

The letter I read today, Saturday, January 31, interested me because I wholeheartedly agreed with Val Sherwood. I also noticed the barriers along the Victoria Street side of Victoria Park when I walked by and then one day I noticed a difference in the railings. They were so smooth and the fencing was lovely. I could not help but smile and admire the job well done.

Another area I love to see is as I drive down Victoria Street and right turn down King Street. I think that is the most beautiful street to look at. The newly tarmacked street, the removal of trees on the sidewalk and the freshly painted Bermuda Motors building. It is so wide and lightsome.

I love it. So, I also offer my kudos to the Corporation of Hamilton for keeping Hamilton looking well. I'm sure whoever is responsible for the replacement of the fencing around the Cabinet Office has it on their list - otherwise someone will get hurt by the rusty spikes. Thank you Corporation of Hamilton
