It’s time to fix Sessions House clock
Dear Sir,
Having just read about the repairs carried out on the historic clock at St Peter's Church in the old Town of St George, it would be most befitting if the Government could have set aside some funds for the repair of the clock of the Sessions House adorning the City of Hamilton, more particularly with the royal visit of the King.
It is to be regretted that for some considerable time, our city has been deprived of this much cherished time piece. The eyes of all those passing through the City, whether walking, jogging or driving, are naturally drawn to that stately edifice and its clock on the hill.
Let me take this opportunity to express my personal appreciation to both Mr Birch and all the Friends of St Peter's for their sterling work, carried out not only on the Church but also its surroundings including the graveyard over the past many years.
