Dear Sir,
Twelve persons have died on Bermuda’s roads this year — 12 too many. When will the Government bring in draconian measures to stop this carnage?
I am a broken record calling for much higher fines — $5,000 for the first offence and double it for the second offence. Confiscate all travel documents until the fines are paid.
I have been told that this violates the person’s constitutional rights — nonsense, they have abrogated their rights by breaking the law.
