HWP extends discount for BIU members
HWP Group has announced the company will be extending its Automotive Discount Scheme for members of the Bermuda Industrial Union (BIU) for another year.The scheme was launched in June 2010 to all 3,700 BIU members, who were issued with the HWP Group/Bermuda Industrial Union Discount Card, offering discounted and preferential rates on cars, motorcycles, auxiliary cycles, automotive and cycle parts and labour.The discounts include five percent off new motorcycle and auxiliary cycle sales, up to five percent off automobiles, five percent off automobile and cycle parts, five percent off mechanical and cycle labour and $90 per hour for bodyshop labour (equivalent to a 10 percent discount).HWP Group is one of the key employers in Bermuda and has been working with the BIU since the 1970s.Jonathan Brewin, CEO, HWP Group said: “In a difficult economy, we realize the importance of offering help wherever we can, and we are delighted to be able to offer BIU members these attractive discounts.“The scheme is not dissimilar to our 60+ VIP Programme that we offer to Bermuda’s seniors.
