AFL to host seminar on maximising returns

If you want to learn how to maximise your returns in a low-yield environment, AFL Investments is offering a free seminar next week.AFL Investments is hosting the hour-long seminar on Wednesday, March 20, as part of its Lunch & Learn series. It will be held at 12:15pm in the Argus Training Centre on Wesley Street.The seminar will explore recommended strategies and approaches for investing in the current economy. And it will cover why cash in your portfolio could be a bad thing at this present time, how to protect your assets against inflation and deflation, as well as how to identify other potential risk areas to monitor.The session will be presented by Bill McKay, CFA, lead portfolio manager to AFL and the Cidel Financial Group in Toronto.Carla Seely, senior wealth manager with AFL Investments, said: “In recent months with Governments around the world keeping interest rates low, there has been a lot of local investor anxiety about the right actions to be taken for the best possible return.
