Chamber wants an ‘I do’ for their promotion

Friends and family members can give couples who are getting married or who got married this year the chance to win $2,500 in gift vouchers.

The ‘Bermuda Gets Married’ promotion means shoppers can enter a draw and vote for the couple of their choice. The lucky winning couple will receive more than $2,500 in gift vouchers from a number of Hamilton stores.

To qualify, the bride and groom must be permanently resident in Bermuda and either be getting married this year, or have already married earlier in 2013.

Chamber Retail Division chair Paula Clarke noted: “Bermuda Gets Married is a fun and innovative way for family and friends to get involved in the couple’s big day, simply by shopping at their favourite stores.”

The list of participating shops is: Alexandra Mosher Jewelry; Alexandre of London, at the English Sports Shop; AS Coopers; Bermuda Book Store; Bluck’s; Boutique CC; Brown & Co; Gibbons Company; The Irish Linen Shop; The Island Shop; The Harbormaster; Island Trading; Petals; The Phoenix Store; and Pulp & Circumstance.

Ms Clarke said, “It is our hope that Bermuda will say ‘I do’ to shopping locally this summer and in the process, bring a little additional joy and happiness to their favourite couple!”

The promotion runs through September 30.
