CellOne to provide internet and long distance
Approval for offering internet service provision and long distance has been given to CellOne by the Regulatory Authority.
And CellOne have announced that the new services will available in the coming weeks.
CellOne will join internet service providers (ISP) and long distance providers including CableVision, Logic Communications, LinkBermuda and TeleBermuda International.
CellOne, which describes itself as “the largest and fastest wireless network in Bermuda” has been operating since 1999, and they currently offer voice, text and data plans, as well as selling cell phones, smartphones and tablets. In 2011 the company launched a 4G HSPA+ 21 MB/s network.
“CellOne is pleased to move forward with plans to offer Bermuda additional options for their wireless communications needs, including ISP”, says Frank Amaral, CellOne CEO. “We thank customers for their patience while we worked through the details with the regulator. The next few weeks will be exciting as we release more details about our future plans.”
