KPMG names tax specialist as managing director

Will McCallum is the new managing director at KPMG in Bermuda, the audit, tax and advisory services organisation has announced.

Mr McCallum joined the KPMG in Bermuda tax team in 1999. Hespecializes in providing US tax services to entities in the financial services industry, including reinsurance companies, investment funds, and trusts.

KPMG in Bermuda chairman Neil Patterson said: “We are very fortunate to welcome Will into our group of managing directors in Bermuda.

“Will brings a wealth of experience, industry knowledge and expertise to the leadership team. He has built trusted relationships with his clients, something that is at the core of our business and reputation.”

In a statement announcing the appointment, KPMG, which in Bermuda is a professional services firm of over 180 people, said: “Will is also an active member of the global KPMG team, assisting clients in understanding and addressing the provisions of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).”

The new managing director said: “It's an honour to join the leadership of KPMG in Bermuda. I look forward to working with the managing directors, our head of tax, Catherine

Sheridan Moore, and our tax team in maintaining our market leading position in Bermuda.

KPMG in Bermuda describes itself as delivering: “ ... audit, tax and advisory services across five industries: insurance, investments, banking, government and public sector and to Bermuda's middle market through KPMG Enterprise.”
