Shawn Harvey is the broker and owner of the business, which describes itself as representing private investors who buy, repair, market and sell or lease properties every month, in all areas of real estate, from residential to commercial.

“So as investors, we offer a fair price and close on the day a seller wants,” he said.

He said the company works with lenders, both local and from overseas. “Our investors are looking for a maximum return for their money — and at the moment they’re just getting a one percent return from the bank,” he said, explaining this makes their real estate investments attractive.

He added: “For ourselves and clients, we specialise in using terms to maximise returns from their real estate.

“For our clients, we work with buyers who we can move into the property quickly before they complete the tedious loan application and loan process delays by offering properties for rent, to own or through owner financing.”

Mr Harvey pointed to a changing economy and said that they work with all types of buyers and situations.

“Some need time to alleviate a shortage of down payment or may need time to solve credit issues.

“After they move in, we work with private and traditional lenders to get them ‘seasoned’ so they can qualify for a new loan and then buy the property.

“This gives us a very large pool of tenant buyers who make great customers and allows us to buy and sell very quickly,” he said.

He said Bermuda Real Estate and Investment Solutions aims to get clients out of debt and allow them to buy their own homes.

This, he said, will help to grow Bermuda’s economy.

Mr Harvey works alongside his wife, realtor Terrielyn Harvey, and their son, Shawn Harvey Jr.
