Three old houses next to the Butterfield & Vallis depot on Woodlands Road, Pembroke, have been demolished.

However, what comes next for the site on Canal Road has yet to be decided.

Jim Butterfield, who is the third generation of his family to run food wholesale distribution company Butterfield & Vallis, said there is no firm plan regarding what to do with the land.

“The future plans are being developed and we are looking at various options for the site but nothing is confirmed yet,” he said.

“The area was recently holding three houses on the top of the hill which was falling apart, so we had to remove them.”

During the next few months the company, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary, intends to develop a strategy for the space.
