Adding an online store presence has proved popular with customers of The Stationery Store in Hamilton.

The business launched its first online storefront to augment its physical store in the city a year ago, and the uptake has been encouraging.

The Stationery Store said it was a “whole new way to experience shopping your favourite brands”.

The website was created in response to growing demand from customers. It features online payment for items, which range from office, school and stationery supplies, art and craft supplies, educational toys and games, puzzles local brands.

Janée Pitt, customer experience manager at The Stationery Store, said: “Like many companies, Covid-19 has thrust us into uncharted territories. Some of which have brought out the best in us.

“Our website has allowed us to service our customers in a way that we previously have not been able to. In an age of technology, it is important that we move forward and adapt to customer expectations and needs. In this environment, adding this element of convenience for our customers was a priority and seemed like the next appropriate step.”

Website features that online shoppers can experience, include:

• Gift Finder: this allows customers to search for gifts for their child-based on interests. Categories include, artist, astronaut, engineer, explorer, fashion designer and more.

• In-Store Collection: instead of browsing the physical store, customers can order their items online and collect them from the store the next day.

• Delivery: if you can’t make it to the store, customers can order online, and items can be delivered to your doorstep in2-3 business days. Free delivery for all orders over $50.
