RG Business Top Ten Employers Awards returns

The 2022 RG Business Top Ten Employers Awards returns somewhat to its original format after changes last year necessitated by the pandemic.

But organisers are not prepared to let go of some of the innovations that came about as a result of a physically distanced celebration.

The RG Business Top Ten Employers Awards is now open to entries, encouraging organisations of all industries to participate.

The awards presentation will return to a breakfast event after being moved outdoors last year with presentations over two days.

In their 11th year, the awards are presented by PwC, together with The Royal Gazette.

Arthur Wightman, PwC Bermuda leader, said: "PwC is pleased to once again sponsor and present these important annual awards, which showcase the best employers in Bermuda.

“The pandemic has provoked a work upheaval, forcing organisations to rethink the way they attract and retain talent in a highly competitive labour market. We look forward to celebrating those employers who are excelling at adapting, innovating and showing exceptional care and support for their employees in these challenging times.”

The results from the awards are 100 per cent data-based and calculated by Global Research, Bermuda’s leading agency in market research.

Global Research’s director, Leslie Steede, explains: “Both employees and management complete surveys that assess employment satisfaction across various areas such as employment benefits, career growth opportunities, communication and overall employee satisfaction.”

Also a huge success was the Diversity Award, as the newspaper partnered with the Bermuda Human Resource Association and Global Research.

BHRA president Candice Lambe says: “We celebrate the continued commitment PwC has made to these annual awards. As a community we are navigating a new terrain of life and business due to Covid.

“We are inspired by the organisations, who, in the face of unprecedented challenges, are dedicated to moving the needle of diversity forward while also retaining and enriching their existing teams through professional development.”

Last year, the awards were videotaped and posted online. That approach proved largely beneficial, and will be retained for this year’s finale.

“The broader Bermuda community had a glimpse of the excitement generated by this programme through the video presentations,” says Commercial Director of RG Business Michael Grier.

“Each of our more than 25 social media posts received close to 5,000 engagements and over 300,000 total impressions.”

Registration for the 2022 RG Business Top Ten Employers Awards closes on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

To enter, organisations must have a minimum of 25 employees.
