Fitness club partners with other businesses for member benefits

Court House Squash & Wellness has launched an exclusive membership perks programme that offers discounts at a variety of businesses on the island.

The fitness facility, which has more than 1,000 members and two club locations in Hamilton, said the new programme was a value-add for its members and also supported local businesses.

The first cohort of membership partners to offer discounts include a meal box delivery start-up, a spa, restaurants, cafés, nutrition experts and a luxury alcoholic beverage and tasting company.

Richard Burns, the founder of Court House Squash & Wellness, said: “We are not just a gym. A wellness lifestyle encompasses so much more.

“Our facilities are designed to accommodate the fitness needs of a variety of members and lifestyles. Through the exclusive membership perks programme, we want to add further value by offering discounts at partnering businesses that fit with the active and social lifestyles of our members.”

Ben Pewter, assistant general manager of The Tasting Room on South Road in Smith’s, said that he and his team were “excited” to be part of the perks programme.

He added: “We see great value in welcoming an elite clientele to experience Bermuda’s premium wine and spirits retail shop and tasting room.”

Court House said its members played a key role in keeping the facility open during the Covid-19 pandemic and this perks programme was a value-added incentive to show appreciation and would remain a fixed feature of the membership.

It added that new collaboration models, innovations and concepts were key to survival and could now be used for growth.

Mr Burns said: “Businesses benefit from the exclusive Court House membership perks programme as it connects wellness-oriented individuals with products and services that are the right fit.

“It is a win-win. Creating partnerships with like-minded companies solidifies Court House as a great place to work out and gives access to other vendors outside of the gym to enhance the wellness and social experience.”

Businesses interested in partnering with the perks programme can contact Lisa Blackburn at lblackburn@courthouse.bm or visit www.courthouse.bm/blog/membership-perks for further details.
