Motor festival gearing up for Front Street
Scooter Mart Motor Fest, presented by Bermuda Charge, is promising another thrilling year of horsepower, community and creativity for thousands of onlookers.
This year's festival offers an action-packed day filled with live performances, exhibits and family-friendly entertainment on Front Street in Hamilton.
Performers will include the Warwick Gombeys kicking off festivities at 2pm, international stunt rider ClutchUp Corey and Isle of Man Tourist Trophy race winner, Steve Plater.
More than 100 tents will display colourful vintage bikes, modified custom creations and true classics, all competing for $4,000 in cash prizes in a best in show contest.
A two-night stay will be awarded to the winner of the Hamilton Princess Work of Art award, recognising bikes with outstanding artistic merit.
Mr Plater will award free luxury stays at the Hillcrest Boutique Hotel to both the winner and runner-up of the Plater’s Choice award.
The water will be filled with the roar of power boat racing in Hamilton Harbour.
The festival will also include the Bermi Cars Eco Village, which will display the latest tech innovations in Bermuda, including e-bikes, kick scooters, hybrid and electric cars from Bermi, EVM and Bermuda Motors, as well as futuristic solutions for day-to-day living.
The entrance will feature a colourful flower wall surrounded by Bermi's current range of electric vehicles and a hydration station for thirsty onlookers.
The festival closes at 7pm with its annual charity ride-out, a cornerstone of Motor Fest, taking participants on a sunset ride from Front Street to Spanish Point, and continuing to Flatts Village, before returning to Hamilton for a closing Glow Show outside Front Yard.
Admission to Scooter Mart Motor Fest is free for spectators, but participation in the Charity Ride-Out or other events requires a ticket, available in Scooter Mart stores or online.
