Three students receive PwC scholarships
Three aspiring Bermudian accountants have been awarded major scholarships through PwC Bermuda’s 2025 student support programme.
Kayla-Marie Redcliffe, who is studying accounting at the University of Miami, is the recipient of this year’s $20,000 Peter Mitchell Scholarship.
“Being selected as this year’s recipient of the Peter Mitchell Award is one of the greatest achievements in my academic journey thus far,” she said.
“This honour will support my continued growth as both a student and an aspiring [Certified Public Accountant].”
Two students were also awarded Abic Education Awards, sponsored by PwC.
Zuri Swan, who begins her studies at St John’s University this autumn, received a renewable $15,000 undergraduate award.
“Winning this award has truly been a blessing for me and my family and a huge financial aid,” she said.
“I look forward to making a lasting connection with PwC, while gaining valuable knowledge about the industry.”
The Abic Bermuda College Award, worth $5,000 a year for up to two years, went to Nikia Matthews, who is studying for her associate degree in business administration with plans to pursue a CPA qualification.
“I’m deeply grateful to both Abic and PwC for this incredible opportunity,” she said.
Damian Cooper, partner at PwC Bermuda, congratulated the winners. He said their success reflected “the values and culture of PwC — excellence, innovation and a commitment to creating purposeful change”.
The scholarships are part of PwC’s HeadStart programme, which supports students pursuing careers in accounting and international business.
