Bermuda Air Conditioning Group, through its electrical division, Bermuda Universal Electric, will hold its third NFPA 70E electrical safety training seminar next week, running July 8–10 at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.

The invitation-only training event will bring together key partners and vendors for a one-day session focused on electrical safety compliance, hazard awareness and international best practices.

Based on the widely respected NFPA 70E standard for electrical safety in the workplace, the training is part of BAC Group’s ongoing commitment to raising safety standards across its projects, according to a press release.

“Our goal is to ensure that everyone who represents the BAC Group in the field is not only compliant, but confident when it comes to electrical safety,” said Ian Milne, general manager of BUE. “This training reflects our commitment to protecting lives and maintaining the highest safety standards across all job sites.”

Topics covered will include arc flash prevention, lockout and tagout procedures and electrical risk assessment planning. Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the session.

“This is a strategic investment in the strength and safety of our extended network,” added Denton Williams, chief executive of BAC Group. “Hosting this training for the third time reflects our deep belief that leadership means raising the bar — not just for ourselves, but for everyone we partner with.”

While this seminar is exclusive to the group’s invited vendors and partners, company officials say future training sessions may be offered to a broader audience depending on interest and capacity.
