Butterfield has introduced a new fast-track security lane at LF Wade International Airport, giving its premium credit cardholders a more seamless travel experience during Bermuda’s busy summer season.

The dedicated lane, a first for the island, according to Butterfield, is open daily from 10:30am to 3pm through September 7. The service is available to Butterfield AAdvantage Mastercard Black, Platinum and Gold cardholders, who must preregister online and show their confirmation and credit card at the fast-track entrance.

Timed to coincide with peak travel periods, including Cup Match and the Labour Day holiday, this exclusive benefit adds to the suite of global perks available to Butterfield’s premium customers, including AAdvantage miles, concierge services and upgrades.

Peter Fawn, Butterfield’s group head of card services, said the initiative is part of the bank’s push to enhance travel perks. “We are pleased to provide the best travel benefits for our cardholders,” he said. “We encourage eligible credit cardholders to take advantage of this service, and to make the most of all of the perks available to them.”

The bank also recently removed advance travel notification requirements for the US, Canada, the Caribbean, the UK and Europe to help streamline international trips.
