At the Old Pink Elephant on Burnaby Street, a sleek space has been transformed into something more than a pop-up shop, offering easy, elegant clothing in sage and coral tones.

The soundtrack is a carefully curated playlist of Afro house and island rhythms. And right in the middle of it all is Damon DeGraff.

“I’ve always wanted to build something that felt luxurious, but still deeply rooted in the Caribbean,” Mr DeGraff said. “The Paradise Suite is that dream realised.”

Mr DeGraff, a Bermudian who has worked in global nightlife, music and fashion, is back on the island this Cup Match with The Paradise Suite, his new lifestyle brand and creative platform that is launching its first Bermuda pop-up on Friday and Saturday.

It’s a full-circle moment for the entertainment veteran who made his name in New York managing some of the biggest DJs in the world.

Now, he is building something of his own.

“The Paradise Suite reflects the way I want to live,” he said. “It’s rooted in island energy, but designed for a global audience.”

It’s a project deeply personal to him. In fact, the brand’s very first advertising campaign was shot in Bermuda, featuring his own parents as the stars.

Part-fashion line, part-wellness philosophy, part-cultural movement, The Paradise Suite is built on four pillars: music, style, lifestyle, and experience and wellness.

Each element is a reflection of Mr DeGraff’s life and passions: soulful DJ sets, effortless design, intimate gatherings and intentional living.

Earlier this year, he gave Miami a taste. Now, it’s Bermuda’s turn.

The pop-up will be open upstairs at 1-3 Burnaby Street in Hamilton on July 25 and 26 from 11am to 6pm.
