The winner of the 2025 KPMG Scholarship, worth $30,000 per annum has thanked the company and has expressed her gratitude and sense of honour at being chosen.

“The opportunity for mentorship and summer internships will provide invaluable guidance as I explore the industry and get to know the firm,” Ms Smith said.

After graduation she wants to work in accounting, to make a meaningful and ethical contribution to organisations and communities.

The firm’s captive scholarship winners, Kiara Burcher and Taj Lowery, were announced earlier.

KPMG’s scholarships support Bermudian students pursuing degrees in fields related to accounting and insurance, with a clear interest in financial services.

Each scholarship includes not only financial support for the duration of their degree but also access to KPMG’s Lift Off programme, which offers mentoring, summer internships and support towards professional qualifications.

Recipients are also given the opportunity to take part in KPMG’s Global Advantage programme, a four-day leadership programme at one of its global offices.

Felicia Wilsen, KPMG partner and Lift Off programme chair, said: “These scholarships reflect our commitment to investing in Bermuda’s future. We are proud to support talented young Bermudians who are not only academically driven but also eager to make a difference in the financial services industry.”
