Young entrepreneurs to showcase businesses
Budding young entrepreneurs will take centre stage on Friday as the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation hosts a public meet-and-greet for the eighth annual cohort of its Summer Student Entrepreneur Programme.
The event, taking place on the City Hall Lawn from 11am to 2pm, will give the seven student participants a chance to promote and sell their products and services directly to the community.
“This meet-and-greet is an important opportunity for them to showcase their businesses and connect directly with the community,” said Deshun Simmons, programme co-ordinator. “We encourage the public to join us, meet the students, learn more about their businesses and show your support. Your encouragement truly impacts their journey as entrepreneurs.”
The SSEP is an eight-week programme that equips students aged 13 to 23 with hands-on experience in running a business. Participants learn to develop business plans, manage revenue and gain confidence through real-world practice.
