The Lumina Festival has secured additional sponsorship from Paradise Mobile for its first Financial Literacy Summit, to be held in partnership with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation on September 26.

The one-day event, which runs from 9am to 5pm, is designed to address growing wealth disparities on the island and equip attendees with the tools, strategies and knowledge to better manage their finances. The programme will include workshops, panel discussions, and interviews with financial experts and entrepreneurs, with headline speaker 19 Keys.

As a key partner, Paradise Mobile will provide complimentary eSims to attendees to ensure seamless connectivity throughout the day.

Sam Tabbara, chief executive of Paradise Mobile, said: “Lumina celebrates creativity and technology — the same spirit we champion at Paradise Mobile. We hope that the Financial Literacy Summit inspires the next generation to see tech as a tool for innovation and education and helps them build the knowledge to make smarter financial decisions and strengthen our community’s future economy.”

He added: “A financially confident community is one that can innovate, invest and thrive. That’s why we’ve built our ‘Paradise Promise’ on transparency and stability and have made it our mission to make connectivity more accessible and affordable in Bermuda’s high-cost environment.”

Tickets for the summit are on sale at luminafest.com and ptix.bm, starting at $175 for general admission and $249 for VIP access.

The event is also supported by the Centennial Foundation.
