Local firms shortlisted for Glotel award

Two local firms have been shortlisted for operator excellence in a global telecommunications awards scheme.

Paradise Mobile and BermudAir are finalists in the 2025 Glotel Awards from Telecoms.com, an online news and analysis platform for the global communications industry.

The news follows a collaboration earlier this year that saw BermudAir leverage Paradise Mobile’s 5G network to streamline communication between flight crews, groundstaff and its operations control centre.

The Bermuda enterprises are up against firms such as Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, a telecommunications firm in Indonesia and Korea Telecommunications in Korea, among others.

Paradise Mobile said being a finalist for a Glotel award showcased their commitment to redefining the mobile industry.

“At Paradise, we strive to create a mobile experience that is open, transparent and future-ready, connecting users everywhere,” a company spokesman said. “Being shortlisted alongside industry giants underscores the resonance of our vision on a global scale.”

The Reid Street firm said this achievement would not have been possible without their loyal customers, dedicated partners and exceptional team.

According to Glotel organisers, this was a record year for entries to the competition, with many applicants coming from the artificial intelligence sphere.

Winners will be announced at the Glotel Awards ceremony on December 4 at Plaisterers Hall in London, England.
