Law firm Carey Olsen Bermuda has achieved several top rankings in an independent client guide to the world’s best lawyers and legal firms.

The company received five tier 1 practice rankings and 13 leading partner rankings in this year’s Legal 500.

“This is the highest possible achievement for practices and lawyers respectively,” Carey Olsen Bermuda said, calling this year’s listings “standout”.

Managing partner Michael Hanson said the 2025 results reflected the extraordinary talent, teamwork and client focus that defined the firm.

“We are proud to see so many of our lawyers recognised at the highest levels, across such a wide range of practice areas,” he said. “These rankings demonstrate the strength of our offering and the trust our clients place in us to handle their most complex and high-value matters.”

He said the firm continued to lead the way with tier 1 status for its corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, insurance/reinsurance, regulatory and compliance and trusts/private client practices.

“Our lawyers also excelled in the latest rankings, with six new awards bringing the total number of individual lawyer rankings to 21,” Mr Hanson said.

He added that new leading partner rankings for Steven Rees Davies (banking, finance and capital markets) and Sam Stevens (dispute resolution) strengthened the firm's top-tier offering across its key service areas, alongside new next generation partner rankings for Alexander Collis and Michelle Falcucci, both corporate and commercial.

“Matthew Grigg, Michael Hanson, Gavin Woods and Keith Robinson each maintain their leading partner rankings, reflecting their continued position as key figures in the Bermuda legal landscape,” Carey Olsen said.

The firm's associates were also lauded by Legal 500, with two new leading associate rankings for Oliver MacKay (dispute resolution, trusts/private client).
