Fountain Health Bermuda has appointed Monica Teixeira, a registered dietitian, to its clinical team, strengthening its nutritional and metabolic care services.

Ms Teixeira joined Fountain Health Bermuda in October. She brings experience in diabetes management, bariatric care and whole-person nutrition, the clinic said.

Before relocating to Bermuda, the certified diabetes educator and certified bariatric educator spent more than three years with Alberta Health Services, working in bariatric and diabetes speciality clinics. Her work included one-on-one and group education, supporting patients with evidence-based nutrition strategies aimed at long-term health.

At Fountain Health, she will provide individual and group nutrition counselling to help patients manage diabetes, support weight-management goals and develop healthier relationships with food. She is also an HMS-approved provider under the standard health benefit and has experience supporting women with gestational diabetes.

Annabel Fountain, founder and medical director, said the appointment would expand access to specialised nutrition services.

“Monica’s expertise and patient-centred approach further strengthen our mission to deliver compassionate, science-driven endocrine and metabolic care,” she said.
