Lucky shoppers score motorbikes for Christmas
Shoppers across the island got an extra jolt of holiday cheer this Christmas thanks to a month-long promotion from Duracell and local distributor BGA Ltd, which culminated in two lucky winners riding into the new year with brand-new motorbikes.
The Duracell Icon island-wide promotion ran throughout December, offering customers the chance to win one of two Keeway Icon 125cc motorbikes supplied by World Distributors Ltd, as well as a Jamie Madison all-weather jacket. Entry was open to shoppers who purchased Duracell products during the Christmas season.
The winners, Kevin Constable and Daymon Bean, were drawn in early January. Both had made their qualifying purchases at Gorham’s Ace Home Centre, where store staff said the news was met with plenty of excitement.
“It was a great way to start the year for them,” staff said.
They added that both winners were thrilled when they found out they had been selected.
Dejon Benjamin, the brand manager for Duracell at BGA, said the promotion was designed to reward loyal customers, while showing off popular local brands.
“Duracell is Bermuda’s favourite battery and there’s no better way to celebrate that than by partnering with some of the island’s favourite retailers and products,” Mr Benjamin said. “It was a way to give something back during the holiday season and create a bit of extra excitement in the community.”
Duracell said it planned to continue engaging customers through island-wide promotions and partnerships with local retailers.
