Susan Pateras and Coral Wells appointed to Abacus board
The accounting and business advisory firm Abacus has appointed insurance executive Susan Pateras as board chairwoman and also appointed well-known businesswoman Coral Wells to the board.

Ms Pateras is a seasoned insurance executive with more than 25 years of experience in reinsurance underwriting and the healthcare sector.
A former chief operating officer and presently non-executive director for a diverse portfolio of financial service companies, she brings a wealth of experience in risk management, governance and strategic execution.
She is known for building high-performing teams, advancing innovative operating models and cultivating trusted partnerships.
Ms Wells is a leader in the technology field, an entrepreneur and non-executive director with more than 20 years of experience delivering digital transformation across government, financial services and the non-profit sector.
As the founder of Bermuda’s first coding and digital literacy hub, ConnecTech, she is known for pairing practical innovation with strong governance and strategy. She is also passionate about mentoring and developing future innovators.
Abacus is a Hamilton accounting firm specialising in a wide range of financial services, including bookkeeping, business advisory services, payroll tax preparation and financial consulting.
