Rough-N-Ready Racing had plenty of cause for celebration after clinching another national title in the Hot Rod Reunion at the Famoso Dragstrip in California.

The Bermudian-owned amateur drag racing team were crowned 2025 NHRA Heritage Series champions after securing the 7.0 Pro class title at last weekend’s event with American driver Tony Trimp behind the wheel of their 1965 Mustang GT funny car.

Trimp sealed victory after rival driver Dean Nilson was disqualified in the final and also took home the California Funny Cars title with victory over California Independent Funny Car Association (CIFCA) president James Maher to complete a treble.

It was the final act in what has been another fruitful campaign for Harvey Williams’s team, who have also picked up three victories on this year’s CIFCA circuit.

Based in Sacramento, Rough-N-Ready Racing have enjoyed considerable success over the years, winning four CIFCA titles as well as the California Hot Rod Reunion and Good Vibrations Motorsports March Meet.
