Car fire at Flatts Hill

Smith's residents saw black smoke billowing from Fielder's Lane near Flatts after a car fire.

A fire service spokesman said the call came in shortly before 1pm about a vehicle in flames.

Four trucks and eight firefighters responded, dousing the fire outside a residence, which was undamaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
